Sunday Children’s Ministry
Children’s Ministry is our instructional and worship time for all children potty trained through 6th grade. We offer two different opportunities for children on a Sunday Morning. First service begins at 9:00 am. After the children are signed in by their parents, they gather in their classroom and then assemble in room 101 for morning worship. After worship is over they move back into their classes for study in God’s word using curriculum provided by Gospel Light. This curriculum is designed to take children through the major topics of God’s word three times in their elementary years.
Second service begins at 10:45 am and provides a similar format at first service. We use curriculum from Group publishing called “Faithweaver” that is age appropriate. In using two different curriculums we can offer children a variety of learning experiences, especially for those whose parents attend service and adult Sunday school. The Sunday school program is year round without breaks.
Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones is the midweek ministry to children between the ages of 3yrs through 6th grade that meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. In the fall of 2009 we began a Journey through the Bible that will take about six years to complete. This Bible Journey is a systematic study, taking children through God’s Word and drawing application from the text of scripture. Each evening opens with a twenty five minute general session discussion of the bible text and then the children are dismissed into their age appropriate classes for application, crafts, games and snacks.
Stepping Stones follows the school year September through June.
