At WCF we acknowledge that worship is much more than the songs we sing or the music we play. True worship is a life lived in sacrifice to the Father. It is a moment-by-moment experience with God that can be expressed in many different forms like reading the Bible, prayer, preaching, giving, solitude with Him, art, music and retreats, just to name a few. The important part is that we bring glory and honor to God by lifting His name high in gratitude, and allowing God’s truths to permeate our lives. Through this, we allow Jesus to become Lord of all, and then we are transformed from the inside out, becoming more like Him daily.
Our corporate worship times as a church are a reflection of this “heartitude”. When our hearts are turned to Him first, a new song is always on our heart and in our mouths. Some of the ways we express our devotion to Him at WCF are with:
This is an audition-only band that seeks to glorify God by meeting every week to rehearse and prepare for each Sunday’s services. Guitars, drums, keys, piano, flute, violin, and vocalists are needed on a regular basis.
This ministry meets to praise the Lord through group song. There is no audition to join; all that is needed is a willing heart and a willing voice! This choir is seasonal, so check with the main office to see if they’re currently meeting.
Our actors love to praise the Lord by explaining God’s truths through a dramatic medium. Under the direction of Amanda Becker, this group rehearses as needed. Auditions are required.
