COVID-19 Updates

Dear WCF Church Family,

As times seem increasingly uncertain, let us not forget that God is absolutely in control. He saw this time before He created time. As we continue to live our lives, worship our Savior and connect with the lonely and hurting people, remember, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear…” (1 John 4:18).

In response to Governor Brown’s recent announcement, WCF will be hosting ONLINE CHURCH ONLY for WEDNESDAYS and SUNDAYS through, at least, the next 4 weeks. This will include Easter Services. You can find updates on our church website www.wcf-ministries.com, our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/WCFministries or call the Church Office (503) 397-4387.

It is our desire that our worship of God will still be in community, though in a virtual way or in smaller groups. We are encouraging you to join us on Facebook Live, or YouTube Live. Please find these pages prior to service so you can join us. You also have a number of opportunities to give. You may give online at
www.wcf-ministries.com (select give), or through Text Giving.  Text the phrase “WCFtextgiving to 73256, and click on the link provided. You may also drop off your envelope at the Church Office or mail it to the Church.

If you have any problems connecting or need any assistance please contact the Church Office. Our Online Church will be held on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm and Sundays at 9:00 am.

But here’s the kicker, invite someone over to watch with you! What a fantastic opportunity to have community with one another, and also reach out to those who might not want to attend a physical church! The early church began in homes where people gathered and heard the Word of God. Another opportunity is prayer. If you are on Facebook I encourage you to post Scripture and a written prayer on your Facebook page every day that is encouraging. Please refrain from negative opinion but let us become a catalyst of healing. I am reminded of Paul’s words:

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” (Philippians 4:8, NASB95)

We will also have tools for parents with school-aged children that may be used during our online Worship times and throughout the week. Stay tuned to Facebook, our website, and your email for this information and more. For now Youth Group will not be meeting but we are working on a plan for this small group to have fellowship with each other.

Small groups that are under 25 are allowed to meet under the Governor’s direction. We’ll leave that up to your leader. Please contact them directly for more information. This includes Bible Studies and Life Groups. Check our online platforms for our current list of postponements.

God has got this! He saw this from before time began and He knows when all this will end. For now we walk by faith and not by sight.  We must continue to serve according to our calling to love God and love others.

Instead of feeling fear, isolation or helplessness may you consider the ministry opportunities that God has set before us. We pray for revival and God will bring revival from adversity. The Church doesn’t stop just because 25+ people are restricted from gathering together. You are His Church now is the time to go and “BE THE CHURCH.”

In His Service,

Pastor Cary & Elders
