Title:                 Youth Pastor

Purpose:  The Youth Pastor is a member of the ministry staff and is selected for service by the Lead Pastor in conjunction with the Board of Elders.  He is called to serve in all administrations and ministerial duties that pertain to the service and spiritual growth of youth at WCF extending out to Columbia County.  This position reports to the Lead Pastor.

Scope: Lead in youth ministries on Sunday morning, midweek and manages all aspects of ministry and outreach for Jr. and Sr. High students.  Oversee ministry to Young Adults and office ministry during the week in the absence of the Lead Pastor.  Available to fill the pulpit at the request of the Lead Pastor.

Compensation: Annual salary, ministry expense account, paid vacation, and insurance package.  Salary range: $50,000 to $68,000.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the Lead Pastor in the administration of the ministries to youth and young adults.
  • Evangelize, teach, equip, and disciple youth into a closer walk with Jesus. (Matt 28-30: “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…}
  • Recruit and develop a youth ministry staff, assisting them by supplying their needs for the work of ministry. {Eph 4:12: for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.}
  • Maintain personal spiritual growth to be an example to the body of believers at Warren Community Fellowship, the community of Columbia County, and to the world. I Tim 4:12-16: Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.  Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying of the hands of the eldership.  Meditate on these things, give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.  Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine.  Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you. 
  • Seek to glorify God and follow His will above all other possible motivations.
  • Pursue to improve skills in position through continued education as approved by the Board of Elders. (Financial assistance available through WCF as approved by the Board of Elders}
