our SINGULAR focus

Psalm 100 is a very familiar passage of Scripture for Christ-followers. It has been the subject of many sermons. It gives us specific instructions on how to approach God. It tells us what our attitude should be as we come before Him. This Psalm gives us a clear understanding of God’s character, how He relates to mankind, and our relationship with Him. While it is important for us to learn, understand and implement these instructions into our worship, I invite you to read and meditate on this Psalm with a fresh pair of eyes.

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before Him with joyful singing.
Know that the Lord Himself is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His lovingkindness is everlasting
And His faithfulness to all generations.

Worship, both in our gatherings and in our lifestyles, is about HIM. HE alone is our focus.
